Module 1 – Explain a draft before you trust it
Trace inputs, decisions, and effects
Use a three-column notebook entry: what comes in, what decisions happen, and what comes out. Identify each value's type and each function call. In this example the score is an integer, the comparison produces a Boolean, and the main procedure prints that result. The function itself does not read a student record or validate that the score is between 0 and 100.
Mark anything you cannot explain with a question rather than a guess. Ask the assistant for a line-by-line explanation, then check it against the source and language documentation. Prefer a smaller draft if the current one introduces concepts you have not learned. Owning ten understandable lines is a stronger foundation than accepting a hundred lines you cannot review.
