Open Agila: Architecture, Ada & V

Module 1 – Architecture and trust boundaries

Page 1 of 3 · About 15 minutes per lesson, including practice.

Read the architecture without inventing compatibility

15-minute session: read for 3 minutes, trace for 3, experiment for 7, and complete the check for 2. Spend longer whenever you need.

OpenStep informs the application layer; MINIX informs separation of kernel mechanisms and services. Open Agila defines its own interfaces. The linked revision has an Ada port core and a minimal boot target, but no protected user services or desktop. The owner’s specific Open Amiga repository is still pending; no substitute has been imported.

Your experiment

Draw four boxes: applications, frameworks, services, kernel. Mark implemented pieces and planned pieces. Find one test that supports an implemented claim.

Practice and evidence

Keep three notes: your prediction, the actual result, and why they match or differ. The completion check grades understanding; the practice task builds skill.
