Module 2 – Ports and language interoperability

Page 3 of 3 · About 15 minutes per lesson, including practice.

Build the real Ada-to-V client

15-minute session: read for 3 minutes, trace for 3, experiment for 7, and complete the check for 2. Spend longer whenever you need.

The linked V client calls the original Ada shared library through agila_ports.h. It verifies denial, grant, send/receive, revocation, and a stale handle. Use a supported development VM for this multi-file build; the single-file browser lab does not load this library.

Your experiment

Run make test with your V compiler path. Record the revision and ADA_V_PORTS_OK output. Inspect why a NULL receive pointer is rejected in the C ABI test.

Practice and evidence

Keep three notes: your prediction, the actual result, and why they match or differ. The completion check grades understanding; the practice task builds skill.
